|Jesse Stalnaker, Minister to Family & Community
My beautiful wife’s name is Joan and we have two children (Emma Grace “Gracie” who will soon be eight and Elijah Gunnar “Gunnar” who is almost two).
God has taken me on a wonderful journey to get me to this point in my walk with Him and to the ministry at Great Bridge Baptist Church. I have served in the United States Navy and in education as a public school teacher, Christian school teacher, and Christian school principal. Within the local church I have also served as a Children’s Pastor. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Education K-8 from Longwood College and my Master’s Degree is from Regent University in Christian Education Leadership.
Because I come from a broken home and did not grow up in church, part of my heart’s desire and passion is to help strengthen families and serve our community—demonstrate authentic Christianity. It is my sincere prayer that as we seek to share God’s truth and love with the community we will make disciples of our families and as we seek to make disciples of our families we will selflessly serve our community. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
